New CD Roundup

Mix Speaker's,Inc. - MONSTERS ~Pocket no naka ni JUNK STORY~

Well, I got in the new Mix Speaker's,Inc. album last Monday, but I havent blogged about it simply because, well, it wasn't zomg amazing. It was good, I enjoyed it, but none of the songs really stood out to me and made me remember them (Like their song 'If' did <3)

The DVD that came with it was fun though. It had 2 PVs one for 'If' and one for another song I cant think of the name for right now. Its fun to watch them play their instruments in those funny outfits. xD

Rating: Eh.

Acid Black Cherry - BLACK LIST

Lemme put it this way. I love this abum so much that I'm not even waiting till I get home to write about it. As soon as I started listening to this I thought, "Wbng's gonna _love_ this." and then I thought, "This is definitely an album I'm going to be listening to in repeat for a good while."
sins, the first track totally pulled me in. Its got more of a hard rocking feel to it along the lines of SPELL MAGIC. This is just what I was hopig for. ABC's harder tracks are the ones that completely get me moving.
Along with sins, the other tracks that really caught my attention were Rakuen and Prologue End.
Rakuen is a fairly catchy song with a good beath that I cant help but bob my head along to. Overall just a very enjoyable song to listen to, nothing super special about it.
Prologue End is the longest track on the album running at 6 minutes and 13 seconds (right after sins at 6:05). Its a fairly calm song showcasing Yasu's vocal abilities with a nice piano backing. Reminds me a lot of Aishitenai except more calming. My favourite part is a little after the halfway mark, the song seems to gain a bit more momentum (not a lot, just a tiny bit) and is then followed by a key change right when the chorus starts up again for the last time. I love key changes. Really, I do. Like that one in the end of FUZZ by MUCC is amazing.

I cant wait till I get to go home and watch the bonus DVD that comes with it.

EDIT: Watched the DVD two days ago (and forgot to post about it).

Yasu is hot.

That is all.

xD Just kidding.

The DVD included the PVs for SPELL MAGIC, BLACK CHERRY, Aishitenai, and Fuyu no Maboroshi. It also includes the BLACK LIST versions of the PVs SPELL MAGIC, BLACK CHERRY, and Fuyu no Maboroshi which are basically the same PVs, except its mostly footage of the band playing. It also has the BLACK LIST versions of the Off Shoots of the 4 PVs which are also, just a bit different that the Off Shoots that came with the singles. Its different footage, but most of the same stuff. (Well its only 3-5 minutes of shooting, how much footage can thy have?)

Ohyeah, it also has commentary on the first 4 PVs, but because I dont understand Japanese yet, I didnt watch it with the commentary.

I cant wait untill someone rips and uploads the DVD from the type B version. It includes live footage of those 4 songs and another one filmed at their Secret Lives.

Rentrer en Soi

Shun (Gt.), Ryo (Ba.), Satsuki (Vo.), Mika (Gt.), Takumi (Dr.)

Reh-to-re-en-soy, I do have to say that this is a band that EVERYONE can love, personally they are my number two band (although my last.fm doesnt show it x.x) What is there to not love about Satsuki-vocals??? I remember the first time i heard them, it was one pleasant afternoon in about August of '06 while me and my friends were in Badies (yes IE) Mom's Blue Durango (2000?) while on the way to her house after school IT WAS AMAZING!!! The first song i ever listened to was Protoplasm it was enough to make me die at the moment and ever since then my favourite song by them has *sigh* been "I hate myself and want to..." how can you not love it underneath the moon rain???

On our way to see SAW IV

Oh yeah. Bady and Hahen incognito!

OMG TOC Da Dream.

So the other day I'm just layin' there doin' ma thing, ya know? Just breathing and breathing and breathing... and then "BAM!" it hits me in the face, REM that is (sleeping, not the band).

So now I'm dreaming and I'm at Bady's place only it's not the house that I'm used too but that doesn't matter because I'm in DREAM. It's REALLY dirty, but that's okay she doesn't live in that part of the house, some cranky huge fat old lady does and she's really gross! So I bypass the old lady and head into the house, and we're just hanging out when the door bell rings (YOU HAVE A DOOR BELL?!? Seriously!) I go and get it, not because like I live there or anything, but because it's my dream I have to go to the door. It's a pizza guy..... he wants money.... "uhhhhh Bady?" I let her handle it. Smooth, huh?

Anyways I hear this noise it is the sound of sweet practice for the ToC, strings only(Taste of Chaos... for the ignorant) It's taking place down the street from Bady's house for some reason. That's not weird at all! Sooo, I walk down the street a little, but not too close. and all of a sudden it's starts too pour. Like true wet cats the J-Rockers start running screaming through the night and fall right into Bady's pool (I've no idea where it came from.) I save them heroically and drag them sopping wet into the house, around the creepy lady and in to my room. MATT? What are you doing here? Oh well I find some towels while they stand there and magically learn perfect english. Now here's the weird part... where I do love the music I really have no knowledge of J-rock, it's people or who sings what, but for some reason my brain knows that Shin and Aki are members of Kaggra, and they tell me that in my dream. I drag them through the house and give them a room to sleep in. (No I don't know how many rooms are in this house, but I seriously think that I don't care.)

Akiya (gt.) & Shin (gt.)

The next morning the J-rockers have moved the concert up the street right in front of Bady's house. The street just happens to be a football field wide and I have to crawl out of one of the windows to get on to the metal bleachers. My parents are there. Yay.... -blinks-.... anyways there are cheerleaders EVERYWHERE and they are acting like circus performers. I climb down the bleachers, walk around the pool, and run right into a wall of solid muscle. It's a door guard and he asks my name explaining that ToC has taken over the house to use as a dressing and hiding area of the various bands; they've cleaned it and removed the scary lady. I'm allowed inside. Yay! I saved some wet guitarists. I have a moment of apprehension though.... what will Bad's think of it? ... it is Bad's house......... Uh oh.... I ask about it and they explain that to make up for it that Yoshiki (Bad's is obsessed with him) is waiting to meet her in her room. I start heading up there watching Bad's head for the door when

"HAHEN (not really)!!!!"

my mother wakes me up. Just lovely. Sorry Bady.

Badymaru's CD collection

I feel like showing off my J-Rock collection because I've spent a lot of money on it and it makes me happy. =D

I started this collection...Hmm probably in June/July of 06 right after I got back from Japan. In Japan I bought Kagrra,'s ~San~ album, B'z's MONSTER album, L'Arc-en-Ciel's Best of 1998-2000 and alice nine.'s Akatsuki/Chandelier single. When I got back I ordered Rentrer en Soi's RENTRER EN SOI album (because I couldnt find it at the shop I went to in Japan...the guy working there thought I was crazy >_<) and L'Arc's SMILE album. Before I went to Japan I bought the X Japan Art of Life DVD, but I had that for a while and didnt really consider it the "start" of my collection.

Ahhh.... Isnt it pretty?
a year and a half's worth of time and money.
(if I didnt say where I bought it, I got it from cdJapan.

I might post about Mix Speaker's,Inc's album later.

MUCC IS THE BEST BAND EVER

Satochi (Dr.), YUKKE (Ba.), Miya (Gt.), Tatsurou (Vo.)

MUCC IS THE BEST BAND EVER!!!! How can you not love them???
First you have Tatsuro, he is a crazy awesome vocalist (and he is just hilarious), the you have Miya the dark quiet type, then theres Satochi who doesnt love his funny faces???? and Last of all YUKKE, THE GREATEST BASSIST EVER!!!! who cannot love it when he is dancing around on stage while playing a full bass? ahh well good times good times.
I have been told that i am the non-Asian version of him, which reminds me! One night i was talking to Bady and i had to go and get a few things from the kitchen amongst them was a cupful of cereal and a pear but inorder for me to open the door to my room (gotta keep the dogs out my cat will beat 'em up) i had to put the pear into my pocket which i had promptly forgotten about once it was there. We found this funny only after the fact that we read that YUKKE had mangoes in his pockets... It was great i cant wait till TOC so i can hopefully meet him and the rest of the crew anyways, time for me to go its late and i have to wake up early tomorrow to drive an hour to a college to take college placement tests. BYE~~Wbng

New MSInc. and ABC!

I just ordered 2 new CDs from cdJapan yesterday, using up that money I got for Christmas.

The first one I ordered was
Mix Speaker's,Inc.'s first full-length album '~MONSTERS Pocket no Naka ni wa Junk Story~'

(Does anyone else think that they have too much punctuation in their name? Seriously.)

I dont care enough to look up what the name means, I can only imagine its a JUNK STORY about some MONSTERS in someone's POCKET. Mix and match as you will.

Anyways, I ordered this cause I've been on quite a MSInc. kick lately. (I refuse to call them MSI cause I'll get them confused with Mindless Self Indulgence, and I dont even listen to them.) I really love the idea of two vocalists and the way that they harmonize with each other really intrigues me. Their song 'If' off of their '
Friday Night "MONSTIME"' EP had me at the first word. I dont know if that really counts as much cause the vocals start halfway through the song, but all I know is that as soon as they started I stopped everything I was doing and just listened. (That was kinda bad cause I was at work though. o-0)

I find it interesting cause they seem to be a lot like
Psycho le Cemu, and I was not a PLC fan at all. Maybe it was just the vocals... (I cant help that I put a lot of emphasis on vocals; I'm a singer, I dont play an instrument. >_<) Anyways, It has 11 tracks and comes with a bonus DVD which I can only assume had either PVs or Live footage on it. Either way I'm happy. 01 Monster Start Instrumental〜Family Ver.〜 02 JUNK STORY 03 Innocent World 04 My wish[Horror]X'mas 05 GO!GO!Bremen 06 We are HA-CHA-ME-CHA'Z 07 Yakusoku no Mori 08 Aoi Monster 09 "MONSTART" Family 10 MONSTIME 11 Mirai no Kimi he (Stole the tracklisting from JaME)

The second Album I ordered was
Acid Black Cherry's new (and also first) full-length album, BLACK LIST.

Wbng and I have been loving this band since their first single SPELL MAGIC back in July and sadly (being the bad fan I am) I havent bought I single one of their releases, so when I saw thet they were coming out with an album, I snatched it up as soon as possible. Okay, maybe thats a lie, but I forgot about it for a while and forgot to order it okay? I finished my order _right_ before the First Press was sold out so I'm excited to see what it comes with. The cdJapan page didnt specify what it was, but I think I saw another site that said it was a photobook. Cool.

1 sins
2 少女の祈り
3 SPELL MAGIC

4 scar
5 愛してない
6 Bit Stupid
7 楽園
8 Black Cherry
9 Murder Licence
10 冬の幻
11 DRAGON CARNIVAL
12 Prologue End

Anyways, I went with Type A because ... I liked the cover better. xD Yasu has some veiny hands. O_O You think they're veiny in this cover? Try looking at Type B!

Yeah...

Yet again, this is a solo project/offshoot band where I wasnt a super fan of the previous bands. I mean I liked Janne da Arc, but I guess I never really got into them like I am with ABC. I think its cause its a heavier/darker sort of sound than the previous bands. Now that I realize it, I was the same way with abingdon boys school. I _love_ abs, but was never a huge TM Revolution fan. Hm.

Ohwell.

Next on my list of (possible) purchases:

Sid's new album, Sentimental Macchiato. I enjoy Sid, I just dont know If I enjoy them enough to put down $40+ for them yet.
Rentrer en Soi's new single, Stigmata (I may or may not get this, I'm still deciding)
MUCC's new album that STILL doesnt have a name or anything. GIVE US SOME DETAILS!!! If I would have had a name or even an album cover I would have bought this months ago. I just dont feel right about buying something without any info on it at all. I'll have to let Wbng rant about this later, he's the big MUCC fan. I'm also hoping to buy the American release of their BEST OF and the American release of this album.
Shinkou Shuukyou Gakudan NoGoD's new album (and also first full-length) thats also untitled. I _love_ these guys. Thats all I have to say. I'll leave my fandom rant in another post.
